Much of our packaging is made from soft plastic that is recyclable—unlike many of our competitors. We also operate an in-house soft plastics recycling system to ensure this doesn't reach the waste stream.
Closed Loop
Packaging Solution
Many suppliers and customers choose Fika’s closed-loop packaging system for order delivery. Using returnable crates made from recycled plastic, orders are delivered door to door—then collected and used again.
No Pods
Eco Friendly Packaging
Approximately 20 billion coffee capsules are used and discarded each year globally— enough to circle our Earth multiple times. At Fika, we prefer fresh, locally roasted and bagged coffee that doesn't harm our environment.
100% Compostable
Cups and Lids
We stock NZ’s only fully home-compostable cups and lids. Unlike other “compostable” cups that contain a thin plastic lining and require commercial composting, Fika’s cups contain no plastic. Plus, there’s no risk of microplastics leaching into your hot drink.

In partnership with local roasters, Fika offers a carefully selected range of fairtrade and organic coffee beans. Calibrated to perform perfectly in your automatic coffee machine, you'll find consistent sustainably grown quality in every cup.
NZ Milk
Locally Farmed and Processed
Fika’s milk comes from NZ cows and is processed and packaged right here in NZ—unlike many competitors. It’s 100% pure milk, supports local jobs, and isn’t shipped halfway around the world, keeping quality high and our carbon footprint low.
Energy Saving
Coffee Machines
Our coffee machines are designed with energy efficiency in mind. Intelligent standby mode and boiler management can reduce energy use by 16%, and many models feature ultra-low standby power of less than 0.5W.
